The focal point of the Rochester, NY
artistic community, Image City Photography Gallery,
ICPG, is located at 722 University Avenue in Imagine Square.
We are in the heart of ARTWalk in the
Neighborhood of the Arts, an area that offers the highest
concentration of visual and performing arts in all upstate New York.
Rochester, often referred to as the "Image City of the World" and
the "Photo Capital of the World" is historically rich in photography
and our neighborhood is bursting with artistic energy. The partners of this gallery exhibit
and promote their work and that of others.
To further stimulate and
broaden the public’s awareness and interest in photography, the
Gallery seeks diversity in photographic works and encourages the
submission of portfolios for exhibition. The Gallery offers photographic artists
the opportunity to rent exhibition space for their work.

There is
approximately 60 linear feet of wall space available for our featured
exhibitions. Additional photographers display their work on
panels, located throughout the Gallery interior. Each exhibition
runs for four weeks. The Gallery
will consider any work for exhibition that incorporates the creative
use of light to obtain images, be it by photographic film, digital
capture, mixed media, or other alternative process. Display of an
artist's work is contingent upon acceptance by the Gallery's Curatorial
Committee.
Quality photographs are excellent
investments for your home or business setting. Decorating with
photographs enjoys the diversity found in the medium as well as the
thrill of discovery when you find that perfect photograph for your
home or office.
The Gallery does not charge an
admission fee. Feel free to drop in during the gallery hours. If you
would like to visit as a tour group, or have a class, we feel that
you would enjoy the artistic and educational experience to see
first-class photographs by the photographers participating in each
of our shows.
Our photographer staff would enjoy the opportunity to
discuss the works on display, the opportunities to exhibit your own
photographs, as well as our passion for photography.
